Balloon Activity

By Paul Wat

The balloon activity during advocacy last Friday was a great experience for everybody. The idea was to build the tallest balloon tower in a limited time. Then using only 30 balloons, masking tape and a chair people were supposed to build a tower without using anything to stabilize the balloon. Everyone raced to finish their tower, making it the highest they could make the balloon tower be. Everyone had to participate for this to happen. In the end, first place went to the Ms. Willa advocacy with a score of 103 inches. Second went to Ms. Saint Amand with a score of 100 in., and third went to the Schiavenza group with 99 in. This activity was a lesson of cooperation and teamwork and was a great experience for all.
